With lots being written about CBD in the media recently, confusion has led many people to ask if CBD gets you high.
The short answer is, no!
CBD does not get you high. CBD is completely non psycho-active unlike T.H.C., which when consumed can produce effects such as euphoria, paranoia, relaxation, anxiety and much more.
Hemp Explained
The confusion stems from the fact that CBD and T.H.C., two of over a hundred cannabinoids, come from the same plant. There are two species of the Canna-bis plant; hemp and mari-juana. In the last 20 years, special strains of hemp have been cultivated that are high in CBD and low in T.H.C. (0.2%, to be exact). That is the plant from which CBD is extracted. Please note, not all hemp has high levels of CBD and that is why it is important to only choose CBD products that can show the cannabinoid content.

CBD vs THC
CBD may actually inhibit the effects of THC. Because of the way each cannabinoid interacts with the body’s neuron receptors in completely different ways, CBD is said to block THC from interacting with its natural endocannabinoid system.
