If you love CBD like us, and you love making your own natural products, you’ll go crazy for this recipe for your own CBD balm.

Applying CBD salve to the skin is a great way to boost your intake of Cannabidiol. Though it is unlikely for the CBD to reach your blood stream. It is absorbed into the skin, and from there the CBD interacts with our subcutaneous cannabinoid receptors.
Coconut oil makes an excellent carrier oil for your CBD balm. Not only is coconut oil high in lauric acid, which has been shown to support a healthy skin. It is also absorbed super easily, making it one of the most effective ways for both the natural goodness of coconut oil and the CBD combined to enter your skin.

The brand new Deluxe Amma Life CBD Cream is a fantastic way to enjoy CBD and hydrate your skin. This homemade CBD balm can be a great addition to make a salve for your skin or lips, or to use as a massage oil. Being ‘greasier’ than CBD cream, a CBD salve will spend longer on the surface of the skin before being absorbed and can soothe your skin safely beneath its protective oily layer. It’s also easy to make this at home, as it contains only a few ingredients.

How to make CBD balm/salve:
Ingredients:
15g cold pressed coconut oil
5ml of the 4% CBD oil
5g beeswax or candelilla wax
A few drops of your favourite essential oil
- Combine the coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler pan and heat over boiling water until fully melted
- Remove from the heat and add the CBD oil, mixing quickly and thoroughly
- Allow to cool slightly, but not so much that it becomes solid, then add a few drops of your favourite essential oil for a nice scent (not a necessary step, but nice!) and pop it in an air tight container. For an added boost of cannabinoids, try adding copaiba oil.
All our CBD products are made only with whole plant CBD, meaning your body benefits from the ‘entourage effect’ from all the wonderful terpenes and a full spectrum of cannabinoids. Shop now for CBD products to support your health and wellbeing:
