A common myth surrounding CBD is that it can get you ‘high’, however this is not the case and it is perfectly safe to consume.

CBD has no scientific backing: Myth

As the popularity of CBD has grown, so has the scientific research into the rewards and myths of CBD. So far, many of the studies conducted were preclinical, but now as research has progressed the number of human, clinical trials have increased. CBD will soon undergo the same rigorous testing as many other medicines, hopefully leading to greater knowledge of its medicinal benefits. However, until then CBD is still able to be bought as a nutritional supplement, so you can still reap the health-optimizing rewards of CBD!

All CBD is the same: Myth

As with most natural products, there is discrepancy in quality depending on many factors. Such as quality of the seeds, how and where you farm, extraction processes and even storage of the raw materials. CBD oil extracted from poor quality industrial hemp cultivars tends to contain less cannabidiol than those organically grown CBD-rich crop. Unfortunately, this means that CBD products sourced from poor quality crop may have more contaminants and offer less potency. So, avoid the CBD myth that they’re all the same! CBD cannot be used by people of all ages: Myth

Another common CBD myth is that CBD use is restricted depending on age. However, CBD has been regarded as safe for all humans since November 2017 when the World Health Organisation released a report on CBD.
There is also no age-limit for CBD. This study found that general use amongst the 65s and overs has doubled and become more acceptable, and so has the openness to use CBD supplements for health purposes. CBD usage within over 65’s has steadily increased over the past five years. If you are thinking of taking CBD in conjunction with other medications, please check with your doctor beforehand!
